Autoscan Highly Recurrent.
Hi, I have Bit Defender antivirus plus 2014 running on windows 8 Pro
BD is set on autopilot.
The problem is with BD running Autoscan every 20m to half hour or so. (This is confirmed by widget activity and by high cpu and memory allocation for BD.)
Every 25 minutes, the following happens:
A scan result page shows up on the screen, and at the same time Autoscan starts running for about 10m
(when autoscan finishes the widget shows the checkmark and cpu and memory return to normal).
In the events list, the “autoscan completed successfully” is listed at the time the scan result page shows up, which is at the start of the next autoscan not at the end of the autoscan performed.
Then it repeats again.
What I don’t understand:
- Why is autoscan running so often
- Why is the result page not showing at the end of the scan but at the beginning of the next scan
- Why is the result page showing at all if it is in autopilot
This is a new behavior, which did not use to happen when i installed BD.
i have attached a image of the event page showing autoscan recurrance and a copy of the result page which pops up at the START of the scan.
