Hello,

If any of you ran into this issue while trying to install Bitdefender using the small downloader, please follow the steps below in order to make it work:

The issue is that many launchers/updaters run their connection through Internet Explorer, and since it's such a "good" browser, it has some security check-ups enabled by default - which WILL cause issues with other applications that depend on it.

What to do:

Open Internet Explorer;

Go to Tools -> Internet Options;

Access the Advanced tab -> Click on Restore Advanced Settings;

Now, browse in the list above the Restore Advanced Settings button and make sure the following are UNCHECKED:

Check for publisher's certificate revocation;

Check for server certificate revocation;

Check for signatures on downloading programs.

Thank you for sharing this guideline.

However, Bitdefender only uses Internet Explorer for entering the MyBitdefender credentials. The rest of the Bitdefender installation and update processes do not rely on IE.
