Auto Renewal And Broken Link On Bd Au Site

I have just checked an old email account, and noticed an automatic payment for a subscription renewal to BD through digital river (it was in my junk mail).


I have not used BD for months as i have switched to another AV.


I managed to navigate my way to a refund link through the email i was sent (with great difficulty as it is not designed to be easy to find), i filled out the form and am awaiting the response. I am happy to see where this goes.


However my concern is with BD's tactics of making it incredibly hard to organise a refund, i'm talking about navigating the site.


I managed to find a link on the AU BD website (http://www.bitdefender.com.au/support/i-do-not-want-the-automatic-renewal-542.html), and clicking on the "this form" link ends in a PAGE NOT FOUND!


How convenient.

- i don't ever remember signing up for an automated subscription (i don't believe there was an opt out option given),


and there is no mention of an automatic renewal of subscriptions in the Mybitdefender site.


It just seems a chea.p tactic to me auto renew stuff like this. Especially an AV product as it is generally left to its own devices and not checked everday, unlike say a gaming or bank account which would probably be more readily accessed.
