Disabled Auto-pilot, Unable To Turn It On

Options

I'm currently using BitDefender 2014 Total Security Trial Edition in Windows 8 64 bit with AMD C-70 processor on 2 GB DDR3.

My BitDefender is always in User Mode and whenever I try to change the mode to Autopilot, I get the following pop-up message.

"You switched to User Mode.

Tweaking critical product settings disabled autopilot. It no longer provides automatic protection for your pc."

I don't know which settings I manipulated, but I'm sure I didn't change that's so essential.

What are the least settings that would allow me to switch to autopilot?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Further I noticed a bug while I tried the same.

When I click the autopilot icon to the right side of the user mode icon placed in the top-right corner of BitDefender Window,

it tries to switch to auto-pilot mode, and I notice the auto-pilot icon showing up as a sub-****** of BitDefender Tray icon.

And unusually, for every 2-3 seconds it switches between the two modes, autopilot and user mode, for a very long time

(after which it stops showing a crash report), giving me the "You switched to User Mode" pop-up notification every 4-6 seconds.

If unplugged I notice "You switched to Laptop mode" instead of that "You switched to User Mode" pop-up notification, <img class=" />

and I could notice the auto-pilot symbol and Laptop-mode symbol toggling for every 2-3 seconds in the BitDefender Tray icon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope, answering the first question will help me relieve from the latter annoying notification.

Help me please, thanks in advance.

Try fully reinstalling Bitdefender... meaning to uninstall with its own uninstaller, then using the uninstall utility of Bitdefender, then install the product again...
