Firewall And Ipv6

The firewall blocks, by default, ICMPv6 incomming traffic. This behavior will affect Neighbor Discovery Protocol (Router Advertisement, Neighbor Advertisement, etc.) ICMPv6 packets and will create problems in obtaining and maintaining IPv6 connectivity in auto configured ipv6 networks.

I've already experienced these difficulties myself using the latest Internet Security versions and could only solve them by allowing the traffic to pass.

You might want to check the conversation below to enable ping requests for IPV6. smile2.png

Don't take it wrong, but your answer has nothing to do with what I'm saying, which is: by default, the firewall prevents IPv6 network autoconfiguration from working properly. ICMPv6 is more than just ping.
