Missing Anti-theft Protection - Protection

I bought her Bitdefender Mobile Security and set up anti-theft protection. However, this does not help at all,

because even the settings of the anti-theft protection are freely accessible (no pin or password protection).

I don't use the Android phone password (I do not want to enter 100 times a day a password when I want to view

news on the mobile phone). A robber can now easily turn off the web control and change the SMS number ...

That means anti-theft protection is absolutely useless. Or can you somehow protect the page? I have found nothing :-(

When you set up the anti theft you should have set a pin number for it. When you try to alter the Web or SMS controls you are prompted for that pin, thus a thief cannot turn off the settings.

Ohhh.. correct. I did not try to change the settings so I did not realize this protection.

Glad you are sorted. Mine works a treat, well I guess it does, I will find out if it ever gets stolen.
