Cant Cleanly Install Nvidia Drivers With Bitdefender Installed
I have noticed that with Bitdefender installed whenever I install new Nvidia graphic drivers with Bitdefender installed, it never installs cleanly. A folder is left in root in addition to the usual Nvidia folder (extraction folder), called temp, you can delete this and everything seems fine, but next time you try a clean install of nvidia drivers it always fails. This issue only occurs with Bitdefender installed and I have tested this on several systems with the same result. With bitdefender not installed the drivers install perfectly. Even when I disable Bitdefender virus scanning for the Nvidia install the issue still occurs. The only way around this that I have found is to uninstall Bitidefender before installing new Nvidia drivers. This is obviously a real pain, is there any way around this????

Suggestion, have you used this before?

Run that to remove the older drivers and basically everything related to it (read the thread first and see if you're interested). Then just install normally the latest drivers. I don't "trust" that the normal Nvidia clean-install actually removes everything.0 -
That looks like a useful tool, thank you for that, I will give it a try!
