Receiving Duplicate Update Files

Last night, I installed BD Internet Security on a free trial. I set the update feature to 'ask me'. I accepted updates after the initial, official update. This morning, I was offered more updates. The names looked familiar. I wrote them down and accepted the update which seemed to go okay. Since then, I keep getting notices to install updates consisting of many more files as well as the files already installed this morning. In the distant past, I experienced malware being served to me via Windows Update notices, so this behavior makes me suspicious. Can anyone shed light on this situation? Why does Bitdefender continue to offer previously installed update files?

They are not duplicated in the same download, therefore I assume they are either updating previously installed files or adding to them. Checking back a couple of days on the update logs they do this very regularly.
