Losing Faith Quickly
I have purchased and deployed enterprise manager and 60 CALs for Client Professional Plus. All are running version 8 due to an inability to even figure out how to deploy the renamed version 10 with Enterprise Manager and less than stellar support sending me to an FTP site after purchase.
Now that it is all deployed and updating properly, I have run into an issue.
I cannot seem to specify exceptions on files, folder or drives to tell the real time scanner to *not* scan/handle files that meet the criteria. The customer who is experiencing this has been trying to edit a word document that had embedded macros in it for two weeks and it kept getting corrupted. After multiple office reinstalls, on a whim I disabled BD and sure enough, it was BD corrupting the file intentionally to prevent a macro virus. However, I cannot figure out for the life of me how to tell it not to scan or act on files in this particular folder. All other products support this functionality, is it possible BD does not?
