Xbox 360 Extender Bitdefender Total Security 2014

Our Bitdefender keeps forgetting our settings for our Xbox 360 extender. We have already googled as well as looked on here for all fixes and recommendations, none have worked. Is there a fix that you can recommend? We watch movies via our Xbox 360 and Windows Media Center, streaming from our computer. We purchased Bitdefender Total Security, with firewall. Our firewall for Windows is disabled, we are running Windows 7. Our only option seems to be switch from Total Security to just the Antivirus for Bitdefender. We have read this seems to be a known issue, there needs to be a fix. We need help.

Thank you in advance.

    Hi mikenbelinda, and welcome

As you may have already surmised, Bitdefender Firewall is an Application based firewall compared to opening a port: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=191460

It sounds like you have tried this? (this link, and the below link also apply to the 2014 versions) http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35502

You could try enabling Paranoid Mode in Settings/Firewall/ restart your PC, and see if you get any pop ups to Allow.

If these solutions have been tried unsuccessfully, you can wait for others here who may have a solution, Georgia (Tech Support) or try the other support options: http://www.bitdefender.com/support/total-s...ctionality.html (see also email/phone etc. options at the top of the page)

    Kind regards,

    Scott

  • Thank you both for your suggestions, I will check into it all. And let you know if the situation improves. lol

We have watched a couple movies recently, and have not had any issues. Hoping that maybe it is fixed.

You're welcome :) You may have clicked and ticked the right things previously, and it just took a reboot or two (if you had) for BD to recognize and process it (that happens at times). Otherwise, I think you have plenty of links to read that would hopefully help if needed ^_^
