Transferring Licence Key From One Pc To Another
I have recently renewed my BD on my computer with OS XP. As Microsoft is not supporting XP after March 8 this year, will BD antivirus plus be sufficient to prevent people taking advantage of the unsupported XP ? If I decide to abandon my old computer, can I transfer the time left on my licence to my wife's laptop that is also using BD antivirus plus?

Hi Laughterman7, and welcome
As far as how wild it will be when XP is no longer supported, is a good question. Yet, your Bitdefender will continue to function normally with all virus defs. etc. it's just a matter of how long you want to hold out. I believe HP is again selling notebooks with Windows 7?
It sounds like you and your wife have different license keys (yours purchased separately than your wife's, with your recent renewal) then you can. You would first need to totally uninstall Bitdefender from your XP PC, then enter that key into the License key registration box on your wife's PC by opening your Bitdefender main UI/click days left on the bottom right. This is also a way to show you your XP Key# (to write down, can also be found in MyBitdefender/Products). If your new AV+ renewal is a 3 PC license, then you could still use one of those keys on a new PC.
If you have any other question, or if I need things clarified better, let us know.
Kind regards,

ScottDefinitely. But I think you need to make sure that you uninstall BD on your old PC.
Thank you for confirming and quoting from my above post0 -

Just an FYI, after Microsoft abandons Windows XP, it's going to be a hacker free-for-all. I definitely would upgrade right away. Check out this article for more information:
