In general rules, Remote Desktop is enabled, test lab AV-Comparatives, considers this vulnerability, as well as developers think?

I would never allow Remote connections, I block them at the router, within Windows and on software firewall.
Remote connection is what has made so many routers and systems easy to attack , just look around the internet over the last few months to see the reports.
I guess it is personal choice, some people will need to use remote sharing/access but it is another hole as far as I am concerned.0 -

Thank you for that information Rampant0 -
It seems that type of exploit with Bitdefender has been a 2 year issue that AV Comparatives has mentioned before.
Even though the main focus of this test was the ability of a Firewall to provide “automatic” switching of settings when we go from Private to Public networks (when prompted by a new network), without leaving the firewall open to the possible steps of public remote execution, or of to much user intervention with possible missteps, it was impressive how Windows firewall did in this test. But, maybe it should since it’s the OS firewall, and should at least be capable of this settings protection mode.
The summery/Conclusion itself was also worth the read, especially of how some of the Suites that included Firewalls were less competent then some of the AVs using Windows firewall. Of how much of it may be sales orientated to buy the “full protection” Suites.
It would be interesting as far as a response to a known 2 year old exploit by Tech support, just for our peace of mind.
Nice link and read, Rampant, thanks0 -
I want to point out that I do not discuss here the test, it would violate the rules of the forum, I'm interested in the opinion of developers over the general rules of firewall bitdefender.
