False Positive: Xp Sp2 Max Half-open Connections Hack

Options

I'm 99.9% sure that this is not a virus, but BitDefender thinks it is:

It causes BitDefender to throw up an alert, "Trojan.Generic.221274".

It's a hack for P2P users, allowing them to increase the maximum number of half-open connections. SP2 for Windows XP reduced the number to 10, and this hack bumps it back up to 50. It alters the TCPIP.SYS file to do this.

The hack is widely used/known, and no one that I'm aware of has ever complained of it being a virus.

I hope I'm right, because I've been using it for years! haha

Cheers :D
