Hi!

Today a new patch was released for Diablo 3 and now the game does not start or work at all while i am using Bitdefender. If i deactivate Bitdefender it works just fine. Diablo 3 is on my list of games which activate the game mode automatically and has worked fine so far. How can i adjust settings that Bitdefender does nothing to Diablo 3 at all because it obviously does when it is the only reason why my game does not work. I am sorry if i posted this in the wrong section but I have not seen any which looked more fitting to me. I am using Bitdefender total security by the way.

Regards

Abbadon

edit: I forgot to tell that I only have to turn off Bitdefenders Firewall to solve this problem. But it worked before and i would like to be protected by my firewall while playing Diablo 3

  • I should also add that I have all executable files like diabloiii.exe etc on my list within my firewall and I checked trustworthy for all of them( I use the german version so I do not know whether the actual english version does use another word for that but it is definately the mark most to the left in the row regarding network types)

    Hi, Abbadon,

The new Diablo update may now need you to configure your game in AV exclusions as well:

Also, see if this information from Georgia helps, it does repeat some of the above link (you may need to create a whole new Application rule for it):

You could also try enabling Paranoid mode (Firewall/Settings), restart your PC, and run Diablo and see if you get a prompt to "allow".

If you haven't restarted you PC since the update, try that also...some times a restart can clear things up.

This may not fix it, but if you are using the 2013 version of TS, you're are eligible for a free upgrade to the newest version, but that's up to you.

    Hopefully something here helps.

    Kind regards,

    Scott
