Generic Trojan
I ran Bitdefender and after the full system scan it reported that it had found the following trojan (Trojan.Generic.26264) attached to an executable file. It also stated that it had moved the file. I did a search for the infected file and windows explorer could not find it. What gives? Has the file been quarantined?
I believe that this was not a false positive since BD reported that it found the file on two different drives. I normally do make copies of certain files and keep them on a second HD.
I'm just wondering what BD did with the file.
Appreciate any answers or suggestions.

Hello MZ,
The file was indeed moved to Quarantine. If you have reasons to believe that it is a false positive, please restore the file, find it, put it in a password-protected archive, and attach it on the False positive Reporting section (Malware Talk forum).
To restore the file:
- open BitDefender Security Center
- go to Settings -> Antivirus -> Quarantine
- select the file you want, and click Restore. Before restoring the file, I'd recommend that you disable the antivirus protection to prevent blocking the file (Be careful NOT to open the suspected file, in case they really are infected, because you won't b protected while BD is disabled). Also, note the path of the file (it is displayed in the Quarantine) so you can easily find it.
