Problem Uninstalling Bitdefender

Hi, Kinda new to this thing but Ive tried everything else and figure there MUST be someone out there who can help.


I installed the new version of BitDefender, which slowed everything up on my laptop and gave me way too many warnings and alerts which I didn't like. I tried uninstalling the software, but it didnt show up on my 'uninstall programs' list.


I thought simply deleting the installed files and set-up files would do the trick but my ignorance had done me no good. Since installing the software, my touch-pad setting control has disappeared and the system has become really slow.


How do I get rid of this thing?

    Hello dlenel,


    Did you removed your previous antivirus or security suite before installing a BitDefender 2008 solution? That's important to avoid problems the reason could also be that there are still being leftovers that also can conflict with BitDefender 2008 products. Please follow the instructions in this topic. Some laptops come with preinstalled antiviruses did you remove that also?


    Download the BitDefender Uninstall tool from here. Run the tool when asked reboot your pc. After that download and install windows installer cleanup. Start it and search for entries that have BitDefender in the name if there select them press on remove confirm the warning. Look also for entries with only numbers in this format 11.X.XX remove that entry also.
