Bitdefender Won't Load On Start Up.

I have saved several times my setttings, which include the load at windows start up thing. In spite of that, ever time I start windows bdagent.exe doesn't load, neither does Bitdefender. Any help ?

Hello Alphadan,

I assume that you are speaking about BitDefender 2008 solutions?

Can you please do the following : press the windows button together with r now type services.msc press enter. If BitDefender is correctly installed you must find 4 services that have BitDefender in the name. If not than the installation went wrong. Check the status of each BitDefender service and see if it's running. The startup type should be set on automatic for the following BitDefender services:

BitDefender Communicator

BitDefender Desktop Update Service

BitDefender Virus Shield

If that isn't the case double click on each service and change the startup type to automatic and press on apply and ok to save the settings.

The BitDefender Threat Scanner should be set on on-demand.

Now press again the windows button together with r now type msconfig press enter navigate to the startup tab (boottab) you must find the following startup entry : bdagent. See if it's present and that the box in the front of it is checked. If it still doesn't work. Please download this removal tool. Run the tool you will be asked to reboot your pc do that.

Do you have other security software installed that have realtime protection? If so disable there realtime protection when you are going to install BitDefender again.
