    Hello kva,

What do you mean "start first"? BitDefender Threat Scanner and all it's needed for realtime protection are loaded as system services, therefore they start even before the logon screen is shown (they start during Windows boot). The only thing that starts a little later is bdagent.exe, which is only responsible for the interface, and has nothing to do with the actual protection.

  • If you have it start at start up you are safe

  • Usually, if left everything on default when installing BD, and if you didn`t modify anything after install, BD is starting during BOOT, so you don`t have anything to worry about.

  • Hello kva,

What you can do is the following :

Use startup delay which you can download here.

You can delay the startup time for other applications or services that starts during the boot process so the BitDefender parts are loaded directly.

    Best regards
