Installation

Options

Hi:-)

For some reason the first time I tried to do a clean install of BDIS 2015 for some reason I got an error message saying it could not be installed with the drivers present on my PC. I had uninstalled BD IS 2014 with the BD Uninastall Tool.

I unzipped the downloaded exe file . and clicked on downlaod.exe and got a message saying that a new setup attempt requires a reboot.

Don't know why this happened, but i'm certainn it was caused by my PC and not BD cuz my PC has been giving me some issues recently.

After re-booting the download, scan, and install were very smooth and fast. Impressively so :-) Nice job BD -- looks very good.

[bTW: For those who do not know, the remainder of your existing license is good for the 2015 products.]

    OK. You can scratch that.

Restarting Windows 8 with BDIS 2015 can't start Windows. BD, you just lost a customer for the 2015 version. I'll stay with BDIS 2014 thank you very much.

    HI:-)

I'm sorry if I did not make myself clear.

The reason that I wanted to reboot is so that I could use the new start-up optimizer tool in the new Optimze Section of BD 2015.

One feature of that tool is that it will measure and report how long it takes a start-up program to complete it's start-up. For BD to be able to collect this information BD 2015 has be installed and rebooted. That's why I tried to reboot, but failed.

This may not have been an accurate description of what occurred. See my post of today 07/17/14 in that thread:

I have self-reported that thread and asked that it be deleted in its entirety.
