Bdagent.exe Is Slowing My Computer!

I don't know why this program is using 50% of my cpu andd i can't even turn it off. Does anybody have a solution?

    Bdagent.exe I this is the process for BitDefender main interface. I can't be too sure but it might be that time that the installer went ahead and checked hourly updates which is essential. 1.gif
