Wake On Lan And Network Adapter Rules

I'd like to know whether it could happen that when a pc is sleeping, and a magic packet is delivered to the network card the firewall, or more specifically "network adapters rules" may prevent the *sleeping* pc to wake up (would it be unwanted behavior?).

I am using BIS 2014.

  • In theory, PC or Laptop Sleep is a local scenario. This means that it does not need TCPIP to operate. I stand corrected but my answer for this is no. 1.gif
