General Question

Hi,

I just upgraded from bitdefender total security to 2015,

Under firewall then under adapters there are settings and you can either enable them or disable them I would please like to know what stealth mode does and what generic mode is ?? Please tell me what it does when they are enabled and disable,

Also with the widget that appers on my desktop screen, what are the benifets of keeping it there and also what is the blue thing that moves up and down ? I know on the 2014 on the left one is firewall and the right one is the shield ? Please help.

Also I don't get notifications on what's happening like when it detects a threat and so on, how do I make it nofity me ? Or does it not because I'm on auto pilot ??

Thank you for your help

Malicious individuals or software programs need not find out that your computer even exists, let alone provide services to the network. The Stealth

Mode option will stop your machine from responding to attempts to find out which ports are open, or where exactly it is.
