Bitdefender And Ea Origin

My son bought Sims 4 today and the install took literally hours. The problem was that Bitdefender was blocking the EA Origin software. I couldn't work out what aspect it was, but I had to disable antivirus, phishing, parental control etc. before it finally worked, the update downloaded and the game would play.
Obviously I can't leave everything disabled. Does anyone know what problem Bitdefender has with Origin so I can start to re-enable some items??
