Bitdefender Won't Switch Off Antivirus
I had Bitdefender 2015 on my PC with fair "user experience" but had to rebuild all the software thanks to a hybrid disk failure. Now whatever I do, Bitdefender blocks access to my webmail, despite the URL being whitelisted, and still scans any DVD I put in to install software, despite me switching off antivirus. The widget is sometimes there, sometimes not, and all in all it is refusing to let me use my PC.
I thought Norton was being obstructive, hence changing to Bitdefender, but either on my laptop or the main desktop PC, it is unbelievably obstructive. When I tell it not to scan, I expect it do obey me, not just scan regardless.
Any ideas, other than asking for my money back? Its on Windows 8.1...
