Constant Bsod's That Reference Bd File

Options

I have BD 2014 version 17.27.0.1146 running on a Win 7 Pro x86 Dell Laptop with 4GB of RAM. I used to get occasional BSOD that refrerred to BD but in the last few weeks I have been getting BSOD's on a much much more frequent basis. They seem to come about 2-3 days a week. The BSOD always references bdselfpr.sys. What can I do to stop these? Is there an update or patch I can install? I keep the software updated so unless there is a patch I can get or an option I can turn off Im not sure what else can be done? Have anyone else encountered this problem before?

    Troubleshooting BSODs

On Windows 7 and newer versions of Windows, blue-screen information is also displayed in the Action Center. If you experience a blue screen, you can open the Action Center and check for solutions. Windows will analyze the BSODs and other types of errors your computer has experienced before giving you any information it has about fixing the problem.

You can often get more information about a blue screen error by searching for the specific error message — like “Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal”, for example. Windows 8’s new blue-screen message encourages you to perform a web search for the error message to learn more.

  • I managed to open one of the dump files myself after downloading the debugging tools (my computer ran just long enough) and it mentions the eamonm.sys file. I am running ESET NOD32, which uses the eamonm.sys file. Is this the problem? I really don't know how to read the dump file, but this stood out.
