The Bitdefender Firewall Is Causing Slowness In Internet And Errors
Bitdefender Firewall has always worked well, not affecting the performance of Internet.
But from few days (or weeks) ago, the Internet became slow or started to giving frequent errors in Google Chrome ("This webpage is not available ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT").
When it happens, I have to restart my PC to get the internet to work Ok again.
After a few hours of testing, I found that the problem is the Firewall Bitdefender. If I do the following, the Internet starts to work Ok:
1. Click on PROTECTION tab in Bitdefender main window.
2. Then click on FIREWALL.
3. Select ADAPTERS tab.
4. Here you set Adapters like - Network Type : Trusted, Stealth Mode : Off and Generic : ON
But when I change the "Network Type" to another value ("Home/Office", for instance), the problem returns (slowness and ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error).
Some weeks ago, the Bitdefender firewall was Ok, but now, I have to use "Network Type : Trusted" to get the Internet working.
