Rescue Cd Not Updating Properly

Hello, I am trying to run the BD rescue cd on my computer but after I boot to it and it opens the updater it just sits there and does nothing. It says something along the lines of: To be updated emalware.227. It just sits there and does not make any progress. What is the reason for this?

Also (I have a feeling this is caused by the failure to update) if I try to run a scan it says that it failed to load the antivirus engines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Please indicate in your profile or in your signature information on your system, it could help.

When did you make the rescue cd?

It should be able to analyze the machine Could it be corrupted? Could you create another one from a clean machine?

Could you have access to the BIOS to boot from the cd drive first if it was not chosen in your parameters (not frequent indeed).

Another way to test the hard disk is to take it off the machine and analyze as an external drive on a clean machine with an antimalware that is updated. I do that sometimes, not very often to say the truth.

However, my previous advice could work: to plug the hard disk as an external drive on a safe, well protected machine and check malwares.

Hey,

I have the same problem. Internet is working flawlessly, writing this post from within the rescue cd, but when I hit update it updates a few files, then gets stuck on one, in my case aspy_emu.cvd.

Anyone knows the cause\solution to this?

Are you connected via Wi-Fi or cable ?

If your machine is not behind a router, are you using a PPoE connection ? (do you need to enter extra credentials in order to connect to the internet) ?
