In an effort to locate and remove a trojan that a BitDefender popup keeps telling me I have, I went into safe mode where I hoped to scan for the virus. That's on the suggestion of a friend. In safe mode, BitDefender wouldn't work. Then I noticed the message that my trial had expired or something. I was surprised at that, although I do find that time flies.
Exiting safe mode, I checked to find that I actually still have 304 days left on my bought (online, buy disc was deselected) BitDefender. On the BitDefender website, in the 'my account' section, there are, confusingly, two entries. One shows the true status of my account, as above, and the other shows that my trial has expired.
What gives with this? I want to be able to fully use a product I have paid for. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
