Target Drives & Custom Scans

Options

I use several partitions to organize my computer -- programs on C: personal data files on D:, photos on another, etc. I have created a scheduled aggresive custom scan for a single partition -- a drive to store Internet-related files (downloads, temp files, emails, etc.). When I test the scan it starts with C: and includes others. None are selected as scan targets. Is this normal?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

The situation is normal. When creating any custom scan, Bitdefender has some checkboxes enabled by default. If you don't modify those, it will also scan critical areas from C. To avoid that, in the 'Configure Scan Options' window click the 'Advanced' tab. Now click on 'Custom' and go to 'Miscellaneous' tab. Uncheck here the first 4 checboxes.
