Password Protected Files Not Scanned

HELP,

I did a deep scan with BD. Eight files came up as password protected on my d:drive. I guess that is a boot drive. not sure.

Anyway how can I get those files scanned and make sure it is not a virus?

Password protected archives can not be scanned !

  • Hello delbirdy,

To be able to scan password-protected archives you first need to extract after that BitDefender can scan it. Infact no antivirus can scan password protected archives. This more looks like a kind of repair partition on your hard disk. HP,Packard Bell and other pc or laptop manufacturer uses d: as a repair partition. These files might be related to Mcafee.

    Best regards
