Active Virus Control Getting Automatically Disabled

So, active virus control seems to be automatically disabling itself...I'll explain what I mean.

When I open bitdefender, click protection, then click the settings button next to "Antivirus", I enable active virus control (which I have learned is very important to have enabled), set the active virus control threshold to normal, then when I press the back button (taking me to the "protection" screen), then I go back to the antivirus settings screen, I see that my active virus control is still enabled and set to normal. Fantastic.

BUT, whenever I close bitdefender and open it back up, active virus control is disabled again. Yikes.

Is this something I am doing wrong on my end or what? I have no clue why it is doing this....
