Sometimes I'm on my computer when the daily virus scan starts and I choose to stop it. Then, of course, the ARE YOU SURE YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THIS window pops up. Of course I'm sure. I clicked the STOP button, didn't I? Is there any way to get rid of this stupid window?

  • Hello dprozzo,

No, you can't disable that program window. But you can disable other pop-up's that appear when an infection is found, cookies are being send,... To do that Right click on the red BitDefender icon near the system tray press on open advanced settings. After that press on advanced. Uncheck Show pop-up's press on ok. You can disable the pop-up when an infection is found by doing this go to the antivirus section,be sure that shield tab is high lighted press on custom level. Uncheck show warning when virus is found.

    Kind regards,

  • Oh well.... Great product! I just don't like being treated like a child.
  • Hello dprozzo,

The purpose is that you can still continue scanning after you have accidentally pressed on the stop button.

Feel free to post this into the feature request forum section.
