i'm evaluating bitdefender internet security 2016, and i need to enter a few rules to allow certain ports.
why must it always insist on an application?
my pfsense firewalls and linux iptables allow for port, protocol, local & remote ip but doesn't insist on any particular app per se.
i see a "DNS over UDP" rule among others, so if i want to see how they entered this rule how can i do that? i click on the rule and notta, zilch.
granted i could be doing this all wrong, so anyone got a tip or two to accomplish this?
