Hello,

I like using SSL-Scan, yet I do like to check certificate details like the issuer myself. This however I cannot do because with SSL Scan on the displayed information is "issued by Bitdefender Personal CA.Net-Defender", and "Organisation" is also "Bitdefender". Isn't it possible to display the original issuer and parenthesize something like "scanned by Bitdefender"?

In order to do an SSL scan BD has to act as a "man-in-the-middle" which entails using it's

own certificate. AFAIK that's the same technique used by other AVs to scan SSL connections.

Displaying the cert details is a function of the browser (I presume), and all it "sees" is

the BD certificate.
