Rescue Mode -- Eufi Boot

when I try to set up rescue mode, I get a message saying that it is not supported on systems with secure boot.

Is this the same as EUFI boot?

My hard drive is formatted as GPT, so if I understand right, I can't enable MBR boot.

However, I could reformat the disk as MBR, and then restore my windows installation onto it, from a system image. Then I could use MBR boot.

Question is: which type of boot is better?

On the one hand, secure boot prevents malware from booting up before windows.

On the other hand, I understand that if the boot sector does get infected, it is harder to clean on EUFI.

What is recommended?
