Betdefender, Stealth Mode & Media Extenders
Hey Guys,
I've just spent 10 hours trying to get a media extender (Linksys DMA2100) connecting properly with Microsoft media centre.
Initially it would refuse to connect. However disabling Bitdefender firewall allowed it to connect & remain stable. I've now isolated the connection problem to Stealth Mode.
My question is, how dangerous is it to run my system with stealth mode disabled? I see it blocks port scans; On screen notes sometimes informs me of port scans. Are those dangerous?
