I wanted to eliminate the possibility of a virus on my laptop (Windows 7, 64 bit). I successfully created a rescue disk and booted my machine.
The instructions indicate that an automatic scan will begin but I was presented with a menu listing something along the lines of system, files and other things. I couldn't find anything that said 'scan all'. Is there such an option?
Secondly, it reported no issues of what I did scan but then it listed a number of file paths that it failed to scan. This is a selection of what it failed to scan.
/etc/gshadow
/sys/fs/cgroup/devices/devices.allow
/var/lib/NetworkManager
/root
/etc/sudoers.d
Etc/skel/.ssh
/etc/polkit-1/rules.d
/sys/fs/fuse/connections/8388612
/var/log/tallylog
/var/lib/portage/preserved_libs_registry
Are these Bitdefender files and therefore it doesn't need to scan its own files?
If they are not BD files, how can I get it to scan them. Is there a 'scan all' option.
