Av Signature Updates

I've come across instances where one of my machines has been off for a couple of days and when I turn it on Bitdefender tells me i'm at risk, because my AV is out of date. I have to manually intervene to do an update.

Shouldn't the package automatically update when it detects a connection, or does it just check at certain times of the day and if the machine is off nothing happens?

Give it a few moments after boot it will update.
