Bitdefender update


I have just updated from bitdefender total protection to bitdefender 2017.


If i had knew i was that easy(i read about it on this amazing site)i would have done it when the 2017 release was out.

  • hi, I also have Total Security 2016 for 3 Clients with 820 days remaining and I'm trying to do the upgrade to 2017 version,  i read that it is free. I'm finding it's hard, because in Bitdefender Central when I try to convert my current license to the new product, it tells me that the license has already been used to generate a subscription... how were you able to update it? Do you have maintained the days of old license? Thanks a lot!

  • I renewed my 2016 Total Security - Family days ago and try to obtain 2017 ever since. I opened tickets, and got some advice, but to no avail.


    I even removed 2016 and re-installed it 3 x times, but every time 2016 is back. From Central I prompt the 'Install' function, it will go only as far as down loading the tool and also Windows asking if I would allow changes from Bitdefender, and when I click 'yes', nothing further happens. Can anyone help me please? (sorry, I`m not an IT Expert)

    Please perform clean installation first. Uninstall the product using the uninstall tool.


    http://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/Bitdefender_2017_UninstallTool.exe


    After this, go to central to download and reinstall product to get the latest version.
