msvcp140.dll not found
After upgrading to BD 2017, I get 2 error messages when I start my laptop that DevMgmtService.exe and dmiface.exe can't be started because msvcp140.dll can not be found.

Hello,
Your machine is missing or has corrupted Visual C Runtime 2015.
If you have the 2015 runtime installed, uninstall it and reinstall using the link below
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
Please make sure you install both the 32 bit and 64 bit.0 -
Thanks for the link. So far, no errors are shown during startup.0 -
the same here - uninstalling old Bitdefender 2016 deleted it (BUG persists 21st October)
in my case it results in corrupted nvidia driver installation, nvidia update crashed thanks to it
(and bitdefender upgrade is not working)

Hello,
/index.php?/profile/205493-xaver/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="205493" href="<___base_url___>/index.php?/profile/205493-xaver/" rel="">@xaver if you encountered the msvcp140.dll issue, its not a bug its a corrupted runtime that needs reinstalled.
For Bitdefender to function properly, the machine needs to function properly. Might I suggest running a integrity check on your machine.0 -

Hi, Sorin G.
Those who claim being "not computer savvy" could give me lessons. This is how much "not computer savvy" I am.
Out of curiosity only, I opened the link posted above, and ran a check. To my surprise, the following message came up as a result:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.
Not only is Bitdefender the top of the line AV, it's also a wealth of information that I didn't know existed.
Thank you Sorin G., and Bitdefender for having you on board.
