Bitdefender Keeps Updating and Restarting Computer


I have Bitdefender on several of my computers and I keep getting a message several times every day on each computer that says "Reminder. You need to restart your system to complete the product update. Would you like to restart your computer now?" (Yes or Remind me later).

This is happening on computers with Windows 7 and Windows 10.  It is getting really frustrating.  I do not want to restart all of my computers two and three times a day.

What is going on and how can I stop this from happening?

    I have Bitdefender AV Plus 2016, and it has been doing the same thing for maybe two weeks. I see exactly the same popup as in your image.

    I have restarted both of my PCs several times in the past two weeks. In fact, I routinely restart one of them every night. Sometimes there are two popups one on top of the other. Sometimes I see one every hour or so. But I don't believe it really needs to reboot--it looks more like a bug. Otherwise, we have to believe product updates requiring a reboot are pushed out at least daily if not more often.

    I hope someone at Bitdefender can explain what is going on and how to stop it.
