Update failed, error -3


For the past couple of days, I've been receiving update failure notices from Bitdefender Free. The error message is "Update failed, error -3".

I've even gone as far as uninstalling the program, running CCleaner, downloading a fresh copy of the installer and reinstalling Bitdefender Free. Still getting the same error.

SupportTool.exe fails to create a log.

ProductActionCenterFix.exe fails to fix the issue as well.

Any suggestions before I remove the program permanently? Would be a shame to do so as I've been extremely pleased with the product until now.

    Looking back at earlier threads, it appears Bitdefender doesn't care about those who use the free product. Not a peep out of 'em.

    Too bad. It was a decent product when it worked. Off the machine it comes and the search for a new product begins.
