SMS Commands #?

I just downloaded the app on my phone and I'm trying to get everything set up so I have the options if the need arises.

When looking at the SMS commands, it tells you what the commands are, what they do and how to use them but it never specifies a number to text in the situation?

Are SMS commands only available when the SIM is removed?? Or is there a number I can text with the BD-#### commands to test out the system or use it if I lost my phone??

The SMS commands (except for the Wipe command) can be sent from any phone number as long as the sender knows the PIN of the phone. They have to be sent to the number associated with the phone and if removed, your trusted number will receive an SMS alert with the new phone number where you can send the commands.
