vurnability scan, which application does it scan for updates ?

How do we know which applications are scanned for updates in vurnability scan ? I currently have a pending java update yet vurnability scan is not reporting it as updateable.
I'm guessing applications must require certain conditions in order for them to show up or does bitdefender check against a hardcoded list of applications if so which ones ?
