Bitdefender Security Service keeps crashing

My Total security install updated to the 2019 version last week and since then it has crashed once a day, with the faulting application path of:

C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2017\vsserv.exe

How do I reinstall this on win 10 now that the appwiz option doesn't work in the run menu?

That vsserv file is the cause of pretty much all of our current headaches with the 2019 version. Try grabbing the uninstall tool for you product from here:

https://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/uninstall_consumer_paid.html

Then If it doesn't say so RESTART your computer and do a clean install of the program again and see if it that helps. Sometimes upgrading insteading of doing a clean full install causes issues. Hope that is helpful to you. Best of Luck!!!

I was so tired that I forgot to mention to make sure you have the Bitdefender Installer from your Bitdefender Central Account downloaded so it's ready to go once you run the uninstaller tool.
