I originally purchased this in 2016 and have upgraded every year.

BUT it still shows Bitdefender Internet Security 2016


Is it really being upgraded or what is going on?

    Hi Etrin,


    Older versions such as 2016 require manually upgrading ( for free). Once you get the 2019 kit installed future generation upgrades will be done automatically :


    1.     Go to https://central.bitdefender.com and sign in with your Central email and password.



    2.     Click My Devices in the left side menu.



    3.     Click INSTALL PROTECTION and choose Protect this device.



    4.     Save the kit on your PC. Wait for the download to complete, then run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install Bitdefender.



    5.     Click Start Using Bitdefender to continue. In the Subscription Plan window, you can see details about your active subscription.



    6.     Click FINISH to access the Bitdefender interface.
