Bitdefender trying to install something

I have had Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2019 working on my laptop for months.


In the past week or so, every time I turn my laptop on, I get a popup saying Bitdefender wants to install something and asking for an administrator account and password. I have just been clicking "No" because I don't know if this is a real Bitdefender process. It hasn't happened before.


What is going on? How do I know for sure that it's legitimate--that is, what should I look for in the the installer certificate? Or how can I get it to stop?


I am using a limited local Windows account on Win10 Home 64-bit v1803. BD says it's build 23.0.22.97, last updated 4/28/2019, engine 7.80705 last updated 5/8/2019. Maybe I've been stopping the product from updating? But why would it suddenly need the admin password?
