Using URl instead of IP in Rules
Is there anyway I can use an URL instead of an IP in rules? I want to set up a rules for outbound ports to a particular domain but the domain IP changes from time to time. I use a ddns service where an URL resolves to a dynamic IP but the Bitdefender rules do not allow me to enter an URL in the IP field.

Please let us know if you are referring to Bitdefender Firewall or Online Threat Prevention rules/exceptions.

Bitdefender Firewall rules
Hi,
In the Bitdefender Firewall rules you can use only the IP and ports.
Hope it helps.0 -
I solved the problem by using an IP-range/subnet rather than a single IP.
It was becoming a headache with the Australian National Broadband changing IP addresses frequently.
They wanted $10 per month for a static IP which I declined.
Would be good if Bitdefender allowed DDNS URL's in its rules to lock down a single dynamic IP but at least this way it restricts it to a few hundred IP's.0 -
