Stealth Mode is Adapter Specific?

Am I seeing that in the settings correctly, that Stealth Mode is tied exclusively to the type of adapter rather than to a zone, say, such as home, or public? And separate from the something like the wifi security advisor (you all see where I am going with this, right? lol)
