License key returned to Trial license

Our local vendor provided me a license to extend my current trial that will end this May 7. The new license will allow me to extend for another 7days so that our trial subscription will not expire until our purchased license arrives.

I applied earlier today and it was successful. However, when login again tonight, it seems that the license reverted again to the old trial license that will expire soon. I tried to reapply the new license but i am getting an error message that the license already exist in the DB. Can anyone share some advice on how to remediate?
